Windows 10 and 11 · one-time licenses · data on your PC

The books of a small shop, in six apps that do not need the cloud.

Invoices with reminders that chase themselves. A register for the PC behind the counter. Stock that knows when to reorder. Hours, receipts and quotes that end up in one folder for the accountant. Each app is bought once, runs offline, and keeps your numbers in a file you own.

  • $29–$89per app, once
  • 30 daystrial and money-back

Apps

Six apps, one company file

Each app works alone. Together they share one company file, so a sale in Register reduces Stock and lands in the same ledger as an Invoice. Requirements: Windows 10 (21H2 or newer) or Windows 11, x64, 4 GB RAM; Register also runs on ARM64 tablets.

Tillbook Invoice

$49

Invoices, reminders, payments · v6.3.0 · 28 MB

Create an invoice in under a minute from a customer and a few line items, send it as a PDF, record the payment when it arrives, and let the reminder schedule chase the late ones. Sales tax by state and county; numbering that never skips.

  • PDF invoices with your logo and payment terms
  • Automatic reminder e-mails on days 7, 14 and 30
  • Sales-tax tables for all 50 states, editable
  • Aging report: who owes what, since when

Tillbook Register

$89

Point of sale for a counter PC · v4.0.2 · 41 MB

Turns the PC behind the counter into a register: touch-friendly buttons, barcode scanner, cash drawer and receipt printer support, card payments through the terminal you already have. Works when the internet does not.

  • Touch layout, barcode scanner, cash drawer
  • Works with any USB or Bluetooth receipt printer
  • End-of-day Z report and cash count
  • Offline first – sales sync to Stock later

Tillbook Stock

$59

Inventory and reorder points · v3.6.1 · 22 MB

Every item with cost, price, supplier and reorder point. Register sales and Invoice sales reduce stock automatically; a purchase order is one click when an item drops below its minimum. Stock counts with a scanner, variances explained.

  • Reorder points and one-click purchase orders
  • Stock-take mode with barcode scanner
  • Cost of goods sold per item and per month
  • Multiple locations (shop, van, storage)

Tillbook Hours

$39

Timesheets and payroll export · v2.9.0 · 15 MB

Employees clock in on the counter PC or with a code; you approve the week, add tips and overtime, and export a file your payroll service or accountant can read. Schedules for the coming week with a printable roster.

  • Clock-in by PIN or card
  • Overtime rules by state
  • Weekly roster and shift swaps
  • CSV and IIF export for payroll

Tillbook Receipts

$29

Expense capture and categories · v2.2.3 · 19 MB

Drop a photo or a PDF of a receipt; Receipts reads the vendor, date and total, files it in an IRS Schedule C category and keeps the image. At year end the accountant gets one folder and one spreadsheet instead of a shoebox.

  • Reads receipts from photos and PDFs (on your PC)
  • Schedule C categories built in
  • Mileage log with the IRS standard rate
  • Year-end export in one ZIP

Tillbook Quotes

$39

Estimates that become invoices · v1.7.0 · 17 MB

Build estimates from a price book of your parts and labor rates, send them as PDF, track accepted and declined, and turn an accepted quote into an invoice or a job sheet without retyping. Made for trades, repair shops and event caterers.

  • Price book for parts, labor and packages
  • Optional deposit line and expiry date
  • Accepted quote → invoice in one click
  • Job sheet for the van or the kitchen

Which apps for my shop

Start with the two you need this month

Most owners begin with one or two apps and add the rest when the habit is there. The ticks are what our customers actually use, by kind of business.

What the customer receives

This is a Tillbook Invoice PDF, drawn here as HTML. Your logo, your terms, the county tax rate picked from the customer’s address. Reminders go out on days 7 and 14 after the due date unless you turn them off for a customer.

  • Numbering that never skips or repeats – auditors ask
  • Line items from Stock or Quotes, or typed
  • Partial payments and deposits recorded against the invoice
  • Aging report every Friday if you want it

Receipts files expenses into Schedule C categories as they arrive; year end is a ZIP file.

Getting started

From download to first invoice in an afternoon

  1. 1

    Install and pick your business

    15 minutes

The installer asks for your state, your sales-tax situation and whether you print receipts. It sets up a sample company you can play with and delete.

  2. 2

    Bring in what you have

    30–60 minutes

Customers, items and prices come in from a CSV – we include templates for the common formats. Opening stock counts can be scanned in with any USB barcode scanner.

  3. 3

Send the first invoice or ring the first sale

    Day one

Everything after that is a habit: receipts into Receipts as they come, the Z report at closing, the aging report on Friday.

  4. 4

    Hand the accountant a folder

    Quarter end

Every app exports CSV; Receipts and Hours also export IIF. Your accountant gets a folder, not a login to your data.

The card terminal stays yours; Register records the amount and prints the receipt.

Tax calendar

The dates a small business cannot miss

General federal dates for sole proprietors, LLCs and S-corps; state sales-tax deadlines depend on where you are. Small Books sends a reminder a week before each one. This is information, not tax advice – your accountant knows your situation.

January 15
Q4 estimated tax payment due (previous year)
January 31
Send 1099-NEC forms to contractors you paid $600 or more; W-2s to employees
March 15
S-corp and partnership returns (Form 1120-S / 1065) unless extended
April 15
Individual return with Schedule C; Q1 estimated payment
June 15
Q2 estimated tax payment
September 15
Q3 estimated tax payment; extended S-corp and partnership returns
October 15
Extended individual returns
Monthly or quarterly
State sales-tax filings – the due date depends on your state and volume; Register’s tax report is built for it

Quarterly estimates are easier when Receipts and Invoice already show the quarter’s profit.

“Register on the counter PC and Stock in the back. The Z report at closing takes two minutes, and I finally know which pastries lose money.”

Dana W., owner, Franklin Bakery Co.
Tillbook customer, businesswoman at her desk

“I asked all my clients to move to Tillbook because the exports are clean. One folder per quarter, no logins, no “please share access”.”

Simone L., bookkeeper for four Nashville shops

“Quotes on the laptop in the truck, accepted quote turns into the invoice at the kitchen table. I stopped losing 30 % of my estimates to retyping delays.”

FAQ

What owners ask first

Is this a subscription?
No. Each app is a one-time license for one PC, with updates for 12 months. Extra PCs are $19 each per app. After 12 months the app keeps working; a renewal for another year of updates is half price.
Where is my data?
In a single file on your PC (one per company), plus the receipt images in a folder next to it. Back it up like any file – we recommend a nightly copy to a USB drive or your existing cloud folder. Nothing is stored with us.
Which card readers work with Register?
Any terminal that runs on its own – the terminal handles the card and Register records the amount. We do not process payments and take no percentage. Integrated readers from the big processors are on the roadmap, not in the product yet.
Does it do payroll?
Hours prepares the numbers – regular time, overtime by state rule, tips – and exports them. Filing payroll taxes is done by your payroll service or accountant with that file.
Can two PCs share one company file?
Yes, over the local network: one PC holds the file, the others open it. For a counter PC and a back-office PC this works well; for more than five PCs or two locations, write to us first.
What is Small Books?
A short e-mail list for small-business owners: the price list as a PDF each quarter, the free invoice and quote templates (Word and Excel), a reminder a week before the tax dates in the calendar above, and release notes. Just an e-mail address, one-click unsubscribe.
Refunds?
30 days, any reason, on every app – see the Refund Policy. We deactivate the key and refund through the payment processor.

Small Books: templates, price list, tax dates

The invoice and quote template pack (Word and Excel, free), the price list as a PDF each quarter, a reminder one week before each date in the tax calendar, and release notes. About one e-mail a quarter plus the reminders. Only your e-mail address – no company name, no phone number.

You get one confirmation e-mail first; the templates follow only after you click its link. One-click unsubscribe in every e-mail. We store only the address – see the Privacy Policy.
